The food almost what we eat is transformed into glucose or sugar for our bodies to use for energy.
The pancreas which lies close to the stomach produces hormone called insulin which helps glucose get into the cells of our bodies. When you have diabetes, your body either doesn't make enough insulin or can't utilize its very own insulin just as it should. This makes sugars develop in your blood.

Type 1 Diabetes

Also called as juvenile-onset diabetes which happens when the body unable to produce insulin so the people who have type 1 diabetes are insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (IDDM) means they should take artificial insulin daily.

Type 2 diabetes also called non insulin dependent diabetes mellitus (NIDDM) means the body still makes insulin but the body cells do not respond to it as effectively as they once did.
This is the most well-known kind of diabetes, as indicated by the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases.
